Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning.

M-Learning with online/offline synch, native app, supports HTML5, gesture based design, MP4 and yes even EPUB. Unlimited portals.

19 Zenler Studio - I liked this product last year (2012) and I still find it quite favorable. Easy to use interface and supports SCORM and AICC. #18 A few vendors say “social learning” but it is often far from it. AICC, SCORM and PENS support. FT- Another product I liked in 2012 and still like in 2013.

SCORM compliance and/or AICC – there are tools out there who support neither – but that is not the norm and there are a few tools out there who also support PENS. One will be named – Best Course Authoring Tool of 2012. One will be named – Mobile Learning Course Authoring Tool 2012. Screen capture.

Typically the video content management platform consists of (please note: that some vendors call their VCMS something else). Offline viewing. 264, MP4, MOV, WMA, AICC, etc. Beta folks still waiting for Beta to return.

What has been applying is the term mobile learning and how it it pitched to consumers in the e-learning sector, especially with LMS/LCMS/Learning platform vendors. If at a minimum you can implement at least one of these features (and yes, there are content authoring tool and LMS vendors who have it/working on it now), that works for me.
