Relies too much on Moodle architecture as in 80%. I’m not sure how much the Moodle platform is tied into this approach, but I would surmise it is a factor. I know Totara is going to say that the product is built on open source and the folks who are buying it know the technical aspects/Moodle and thus this isn’t an issue.

Continued increase in the number of vendors, regardless of size or target customer size (i.e I am projecting that by the end of 2012, you will see HRIS features come into play, but more so as an additional cost module. I expect to see over 80% of the market go SaaS by the end of 2012. Open Source Systems.

Even one time open source systems are starting to offer hosting for an additional cost. The exceptions are there of course: Moodle and a few others, but people are moving more and more into the cloud. For vendors who offer unlimited, I am sure it is doing well for you and is a big positive for you.

While they still offer the LMS as we all know it, and its “learning&# approach, they are really driving into the TM space. Greater number of vendors switching to only SAAS or “in the cloud&# rather than self-hosted. 2 Mobile Learning. For the longest time, it was all about smartphones.
