AICC, SCORM and PENS support. Next up, Lectora! Outputs include HTML5, MP4, Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Air. 12 Adobe Captivate. My issue with Captivate is that this product is from Adobe – a major player in technology with products such as Premiere and Photoshop. Not with Publisher. Layers & objects.

Yes, you can use it for many different things, and yes, Microsoft has an add-on that turns PPT into something similar to Adobe Presenter. Only a few support PENS, which is a shame, because it really does some very cool things. Lastly, why is Articulate and Adobe still on the desktop? PowerPoint is presentation software.

If you are wondering if the “publish once to all” means the vendor is using PENS, the answer is no, they are not using PENS. . However, I think every SaaS authoring tool vendor should use PENS. . First AT vendor to use PENS. Captivate by Adobe – Always a strong player. #1 Daily Backups.

Course standards include xAPI and PENS, besides the standards of SCORM. . For those folks who want a serious video editor with enough oomph to make you go wowsa, but are not interested in say an Adobe Premiere (personally, I’d avoid it), you have a few options. Ability to use, re-use assets i.e. resuable learning objects.
