UI and UX is HUGE, and when vendors update their learning systems, guess where they tend to focus last on? And yes, in 2022 – the end of it no less, there are vendors who lack mobile.

They involved talent management, “hello and goodbye” with vendors, social learning, upswing in mobile learning, new feature sets in the authoring tool space, flat lining in web conferencing and standalone platforms. Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning. Talent Management.

The spin is that you can accrue points by reading an article, taking a course, leaving comments, ranking content, completing an assessment and so on – varies among vendors. For some reason a lot of vendors, erroreously assume that modules is widely used – it isn’t. But SumTotal and alike do it as well.

How many of you have seen vendors respond to your questions? A: Virtually every LMS vendor out there in the marketplace provides these features. Congrats, you are probably looking at less than 10 (based on my LMS directory which contains 475 vendors). Smart App for TV – One LMS vendor. SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS.

That said, there were some hiccups and from an entire vendor wise (expo here) angle, some unique and some, uh. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . I see way too many vendors think a web site is all they need and people will find them.

What has been applying is the term mobile learning and how it it pitched to consumers in the e-learning sector, especially with LMS/LCMS/Learning platform vendors. If at a minimum you can implement at least one of these features (and yes, there are content authoring tool and LMS vendors who have it/working on it now), that works for me.

SCORM/AICC. If this is something you are looking for – i.e. a HCM, then they are the ones to go with – over Cornerstone, Oracle-Taleo, SumTotal and alike. SCORM/AICC. Also sells a Knowledge Management Platform, which can be added to LMS for an additional cost. Data warehouse (additional cost).
