A recent change is important to note here was when major companies like Google, Apple and Microsoft phased out Adobe's Flash Player from their web browsers and opted for the open and mobile-friendly HTML5.So Flash's poor mobile device performance made it weak in comparison to HTML5's open web standards and mobility.

Apple's recent refusal to support Flash is the latest of many headaches web developers have had to endure as the web has matured but standards have been slow to respond. Apple is stopping support for Flash on the premise that HTML5 can solve all the development challenges that previously could only be solved through Flash.

All that designers had to do was to provide a nice looking screen layout and graphics, add a few animations and activities and publish the course, which really meant exporting the lot to Flash. The first and most important thing of course is to publish courses to HTML5 rather than Flash wherever possible. Not any more.
