Audio Recording and Editing. The ability to record audio in real time or post time makes a lot of sense and eliminates the need for using Audacity (albeit it is a wonderful and free product). It was within these comments, that afterwords, I decided to expand a bit plus identify other areas that I see, LMS vendors must explore – which they have not yet done so, to re-energize themselves. Thus, the LMS vendors are creating a Bogeyman – their own bogeyman, and it does not have to be that way. Social Learning.

They love to show the amount of space in huge font and what it means (x number of courses/content, graphics, files, audio, video, etc.). One vendor with 750 users, priced out at nearly 24K a year; another close to 11.5K – thus depends on users is a factor. Marketplaces & Exchanges by LMS/Learning Portal Vendors.

I believe that you can expect some type of voice capability with the actors/avatars as in the ability to either lip synch with the characters via audio tool/recording tool in the product will show up more in 2013. One vendor already offers it in 2012, and knowing this industry – if something takes off and works, others will follow.

From products that ranged from the latest versions of RCATs to new vendors in the space, including text to speech. . These were not characters that rarely moved, rather you could position them all over the screen, place them in the background and even record audio as part of the output. Other vendors are falling suit.
