Video in Captivate – Embed Vs Stream. Video files are often large. What that means is 30 full size pictures, a second, are created. If your video is 60 seconds long, then it has 1800 pictures, and that doesn’t even include the larger audio files that comes with them. It can be, but quite often, it isn’t.

Step 4: Select your audio. For audio, you can use music, voice narration, or a combination of the two. If you are using voice narration for your video, be sure to use a decent microphone to capture your audio. With Camtasia (which is our favorite video editing program), you can import all of your video assets and audio.

Flash content also poses a security risk if the required plug-in Player is not regularly updated. PowerPoint records the audio and the mouse pointer by default. To turn them off, deselect Audio and/or Record Pointer on the Control Dock. You will want to record audio if your course has narration or audio elements.

Once your video is on YouTube you can embed it on your website, so you don’t lose a visitor to your site, but you’re also building up an audience on YouTube as well. That should be in a much nicer player than YouTube. In fact, most people can live with a little bit of grainy video as long as the audio sounds good.
