One item, that people who are looking for a learning system often perceive is that the RFP will be the key deciding factor on selecting or at least narrowing down their list for a learning system. The IT folks involved in the RFP is another monster. Cookie is one thing, but it tends to slide more towards Frankenstein. HR involvement.

Metrics – This is always big for me. Your metrics, should tell the story of learning. How many licenses or seats you have on the main metrics page, means nothing. Way too many metrics focus on completed or assigned angle, even with some customer ed platforms – which in this case, makes no sense. Last tidbits.

Yes, it will cost you money, but you are in the business to make money – at least you should be. From the metrics standpoint, though, the best one I have seen so far is Pluralsight. CrossKnowledge has a nice and slick metrics look, too, and ditto with Fuse. What’s good for the goose doesn’t apply to the gander.

Any system whereas the main focus of business is custom development with less than 15% learning and or training systems? I pulled back from relying way too much on the template this year – although I did use it for specifics such as best system for skills. If you like, then RFP it. Not business time. I

IOL stands for impact of learning (an actual term for metrics that is better than ROI). Heavy use of metrics – A lot of metrics and analytical analysis here – going beyond learning platforms in general, and depending on the LMS, might exceed that too. . Has an LRS – this helps drive those metrics.
