There is a growing list of vendors, including small/mid size that are adding talent management components that match the Big Dog systems. A couple of vendors have added HRIS modules. It is interesting to note, that many of the vendors are targeting the SMB space, especially the small size (less than 500 employees) market.

ATD2015 Conference Post – Review

That said, there were some hiccups and from an entire vendor wise (expo here) angle, some unique and some, uh. This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . I see way too many vendors think a web site is all they need and people will find them.

Event calendar/event features. Many people today prefer 3rd party authoring tools and in fact, I recommend that route rather then using a vendor’s built in authoring tool. Under course is a PPT 2010 QRC, yet under the categories section, you see “downloadable reference” Guess what? Assessment tool/survey.

Product Review: Lectora Snap! Empower

is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other. 77 components – Beyond the common ones include: Whiteboard, Fiery Text (that one was fun), Form Calendar, Animation (Motion XML), Media RSS Feed (more in one sec.), Lectora’s Snap!

What really bothers me more so, is when certain learning system vendors tell me they do not offer social or NexGen functionality because their clients either do not want it or because of security concerns by the client. Here is what will happen if people used the power of their authoring tool (sans Studio, which is really a PPT converter).
