This is Plateau’s social learning component, and it reminds me of a cross between a COP (Community of Practice) with some social learning functionality. Kodak embraced them to a point, but kept their initial camera products. E-Learning 24/7. Kodak was the king kong of film and cameras.

Others offer a pseudo app share offering – where people can upload documents, pdfs, PowerPoints and other group members can download them or view them or both – it is basically a COP (community of practice) wrapped as social learning. I rarely recommend 100%, a product, but I will on this one. E-Learning 24/7.

Social tied to specific content (course or courses for example), to a group or groups, to a community (in some ways reminds me of the old COP – community of practice). If you are targeting training providers, offer the ability for them to include product items – they may be selling more than just courses.
