This taught me a few things about work, technology and myself. Work —complex knowledge work requires solitude as well as collaboration. To let people know about my work, socialize it as much as possible. It would have been impossible for me to keep going if the work itself didn’t drive me.

Today’s workers are out for themselves. A great knowledge worker can be several hundred times as productive as his peer.
