I have seen continued interest and downloads for open source AR tool kits. GestureTek develops motion control for tablets, e-readers, smartphones and televisions. Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning. Costs and quality will vary. Talent Management.

I am projecting that by the end of 2012, you will see HRIS features come into play, but more so as an additional cost module. Equally of interest, are the increase in open source systems that offer for a fee, hosting on their own servers, rather than on yours. Open Source Systems. Prediction. Well, say no more.

Pearson not letting people know about their open source LMS that is in the works – you had to specifically ask them. Many vendors stated as such to me. I was surprised at the number of vendors who had no idea on what is Tin Can. The cost is $325 per license, but a minimum of 25 licenses. If not, demand one.

In the content authoring tool market, the number of vendors who offered either mobile learning build capabilities within their tool or offered a stand-alone mobile course authoring tool is 28, of which two are free open source solutions. Online/Offline synch, Push capabilities – has to exist.
