Studio has always been known for the PowerPoint to Flash approach, but it also includes audio narration, TOC (yeah!) This is an extremely easy product to use and IMO the reason we have a huge rapid content authoring tools (regardless if you think that is good or bad), because IMO I believe that they were the first ones to do it right.

Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. One such vendor is Rapid Intake. What is really cool is that you can create surveys – that have nothing to do with the course – and send them out via their product. HTML5: Must be a Fad. I believe that is going to change.

Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? Going back into 2010, there were less than nine, of which there was one who could output to HTML5, although it wasn’t really true HTML5 output. Output to HTML5 – HTML5 across the tech space is continuing to grow – at a strong clip.

I agree the technologies to create, deploy and manage HTML5-based mobile web apps will greatly improve in 2012 but I don't feel they will mature to the point they can replace all native apps – at least in most of the primary enterprise use cases for learning that’s managed and tracked.
