Our web products run on Microsoft servers using ASP.NET. Developers write shell scripts to make their lives easier. Windows and Mac.

Something new under the hood

" What, in fact, happened is that our development team rewrote the TechSmith Capture Codec, a core element of our recording engine. Take a look at 00:09, for example, and notice the difference in Captain Jing's hands. By way of example, the Captain Jing capture above was 304MB using the old codec and 94MB using the new one.

Using screencasting in training: What? Why? How?

Jing is simple screen sharing without any intricate additions that can complicate the activity. It is intuitive to use, and the completed screencast can be shared via Jing’s Screencast.com site (with a link) or saved to a local drive as a.swf file. Recording can be done directly from the internet or through downloaded software.
