Why do companies continue to pay huge dollars for products that are now being offered for free? Web conferencing services like DimDim now offer the equivalent of WebEx. Because it’s open source, there are no licensing costs. Moodle and other open source products have huge communities behind them.

I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. Hence: Below are products that are either open source free or free or free with limited functionality. – Very nice solution.
