So, when I went and checked out Saba Social, Saba’s new social learning platform, I had very low expectations. Saba Social is a very solid product, that despite a few hiccups and “huh&# moments, achieves what it sets out to do, provide a user friendly social experience. I was surprised. They finally figured it out.

Product Review: EasyGenerator Rapid Content Authoring Tool

Can use images and video with text and move the text separately from the object, something many RCATs can’t do because they use grouping which cannot be un-grouped. Vendor can create a component so you can push directly into your LMS, without having to upload it directly (extra cost). Video – flv only.

Something is Going on Down there in the LMS Market

When you hear the term “browser agnostic&# , what this means is that the product or solution will work on any browser. But with LMS vendors jumping into the mobile learning sector, at least in some cases, it may be a tad misleading. I’m sure they tested with IE, Firefox, Safari and Chrome, but what about Opera?

So, if you include Facebook like in your LMS, wouldn’t it be logical to assume that people would follow the same approach and mechanism, that they use in the actual real Facebook product? I’m sorry but watching a video link, is not engaging social learning in my book. E-Learning 24/7. One way really.
