Offers Lectora (rapid content authoring tool) as a separate option which can integrate with GeoMaestro. Social Learning standard features – Lame. Social Learning add on module – Not a lot for what you get at an additional cost. Why vendors still think this is not needed or used, makes no sense.

(No reason, I just love saying that) Mzinga shows up with a true social learning authoring tool. A few vendors say “social learning” but it is often far from it. Social tags, RSS, gaming activities. I’m always amazed at some of the names vendors come up with for authoring tools.

Vendors can move up, down or out of the rankings – after all it is on-going. I’m not a lead gen for the vendors listed – rather the goal is to provide you with vendors that meet numerous criteria including UI, features, support/service, mobile, feedback from current and past clients and future game plans.

You work online via the servers of your vendor. I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Vendors who are already in the SaaS only space, should continue to offer features that maximize its power.

Lectora’s Snap! Lectora Snap! Channel – of course if your company blocks all social media sites – I guess you are hitting the Snap! Lectora compares this product to Articulate Engage and frankly I think that is a mistake. interfaces directly with the product (ribbon? who knows, I never got to see it).
