Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. SlideLive - upload a ppt and away u go, targets Academia - SAAS. It should be free – 100%. WebHuddle - very slick.

You work online via the servers of your vendor. I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Microsoft Live – same thing. Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools?

As the evolution of e-learning continues, the rapid content authoring tools (RCAT) market follows suit. This is a growing market with new vendors showing up, but at the same time, others disappearing. Microsoft Word converted to Flash? Templates with some learning objects? 43 Vendors do not have one.
