Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. Am I missing something?

That is the problem with the term and as such it creates quite a confusion in the marketplace. The problem is that there is no one size that fits all. Native app available in iTunes/Apple and Google (Android) – very few vendors have native apps. E-Learning 24/7. It goes to Number 11 (Spinal Tap reference).

With all these vendors talking about their solution and its capabilities on mobile devices, it should be easy to find an app for that. Regardless if the vendor is m-learning specific, content authoring tool, LMS, web conferencing or a hybrid. Nowadays more and more vendors (thankfully) are seeing the benefit of mobile devices.

If I am a potential customer, I would expect nothing less to come out of the vendor’s mouth on their product and user friendliness. Learning Management Systems, LCMS, Learning Portals. Some of the biggest problems. If I am vendor, whose product is paid (i.e. Ease of Use – It is! Melon Lite LMS.

The problem today is when you surf the web, you see all these guides written by content marketers, not experts in L&D or training or learning systems or even e-learning. In the Enterprise and Large Enterprise it is not uncommon to get pricing that is quite high, especially if the vendor knows procurement is involved.
