Privacy / Confidentiality - Limit the visibility. So, yes, you have to set up policies and alert people just like you do around any form of electronic communication (email, IM). SaaS, but this shouldn't hold you back. IP - Making sure it's clear about ownership of content is definitely an issue. Multiple authors - who owns at end.
