Low Cost LMS - Help Needed

I have not had much luck with open source LMS programs, mainly because of technical limitations on our part. Do you have any recommendations on which programs to consider? Also, my guess is that looking at License costs is probably a bad idea here since quite often there are services, hosting, etc. What would you suggest?

Looking Back at 2007

I've basically limited myself to eLearningGuild and ASTD conferences. More complex solutions look like marriage matching (eHarmony), action planning solutions (large retailer), marketing support tools (large financial services). Those seem to have been a good replacement for my conference time. I'm still debating around this.
