Tried to show video of Meet Charlotte, but video doesn’t work well over Elluminate. This is not a synchronous platform–experts can use a webcam and easily record and upload content. Sounds like this is also about collecting things that may be happening anyway and just making it easier to share.

Of course, you have several challenges: The students are geographically distributed and, therefore, using an audio-enabled online synchronous presentation room (such as Elluminate Live!) But somehow the mechanics of this activity sound so ‘artificial’. Does this sound like a daunting scenario? Welcome to Voicethread.

Well Played, Blackboard - elearnspace , July 8, 2010 While Blackboard is unable to write a press release that includes clear statements like “we have purchased these companies&# , I have to give the company credit for the acquisition of Elluminate (and Wimba). Sounds simple? The one downside was sound. Too simple?
