There are a bunch of other standards by ADL (who is responsible for SCORM ), IMS , IEEE LTSC including CORDRAâ„¢ , LOM , Meta-data , etc. Note: ARIADNE, AICC, IEEE LTSC, and IMS all participate in ADL's work on SCORM). Are you planning to redistribute or sell the content to another organization?

They have vowed to give up the rights to any organization taking stewardship of the specification. Unfortunately, since ADL is a US Government organization, they can’t take possession of the registered trademark. I’m the chair of the part of the IEEE-LTSC (Learning Technology Standards Committee) that is looking at standardizing xAPI.
