I felt that having awards only for learning systems, wasn’t enough, because off-the-shelf content plays a huge role. In all seriousness, without content you wouldn’t need a learning system of any sort, just give folks binders of paper (like the old days). As such, micro-learning is not an award category.

These days it’s imperative that learning leaders make their case with relevant numbers. How do you isolate the impact of learning? Patti told the audience that business decisions are micro. No wonder learning professionals in most companies are not invited to the table with the senior execs. Now it’s a science.
