Another big-time player in the learning technology/system space is Vista Equity, a PE, who at one-time in the 2009-time frame owned SumTotal. However, recent buys such as Cornerstone for example, came from a PE firm. In 2021, they invested in Schoox. PeakSpan Capital , is a Growth Equity firm.

Access competes well against SuccessFactors, SumTotal, Kallidus and Talent LMS. #9 Docebo outsources some of their implementation/configuration to partners. I’m not a fan of outsourcing implementation/configuration simply because there is no transparency on the track record of the partners. Skills are another matter.

SumTotal Learn includes 80 Skillsoft courses when you buy their system. This is why some vendors outsource to lower the cost of building their system. You can do the former and people will still buy the product, because the content is an added benefit. . Different packages are based on the number of courses/content.
