What I like about this product includes the ability to output to HTML5, works on mobile devices, is extremely easy to use, appears within PowerPoint and SCORM. What has stopped the product in the past from being in the top 20 was a lack of clarity in terms of what they were trying to accomplish – at least that was my take.

Well, it is a fun product to create a course. This product achieves makes it happen, especially with a slick UI. Nothing like getting your blood boil when you see this ranking and can’t understand why the product is not number one. Text to speech – Very nice – everyone should offer this feature.

Assessment/Survey/Polls – If your product doesn’t have it – you need it. I hope it does – especially with SaaS products. PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash.

When people think authoring tools, three products typically come to mind. I’ve always found this product to be the top of the line for PowerPoint to Flash course builds. Articulate loves to say that Engage is used often, but from folks I have spoken with who use the product, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
