In just the past month, I have seen quite a few vendors add this capability in their product – and for the most part they are all RCAT products. Well some vendors have more than 15 come with their product. HTML5 output. Not anymore.

What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. Vendors who hand you a product (trial) and their business card or they just have their items in a bowl and you grab one. TK 11 Products.

While templates in the authoring tool market is not new – they have been around for many years – the number of vendors launching templates as part of the product is staggering. . The solution I looked at was their base, Raptivity Essentials and it comes with a “select pack&# called “Zest&# , which for some reason on their pricing is shown as a separate option. I thought that having the vendors spread throughout the common areas versus confined to a room was great too in that it lowered the pressure of interaction and allowed for better drive-by learning. Raptivity : The name is a mashup it seems of rapid and interactivity. I always had the feeling that people were engaged and talking.

A few companies are building and selling pre-packaged interactions like Raptivity and the eLearning Brothers. Whether you ever record your own voice scripts or get into the mechanics of video production, it serves best knowing the tools your ‘vendors’ are using. You still may need to tweak and edit the audio or video files in some way.
