You can buy a big system that does all (like Blackboard, Sumtotal, Saba, Cornerstone on demand, et cetera) or you can go for a bunch of specialized tools that will beat that big solution on every specialty. Make use of XAPI. Use images and video’s to make it more visual. That makes you already less dependent.

Big minuses for me include a lack of skill management (they have features, but not all that I look at, still though, might be enough for most folks – as I am picky), and video management. Saba (2018, 2016). The system supports every course standard including xAPI and PENS, but misses out on an LRS and content marketplace.

Standard adoption takes time (as we can see with xAPI), so if you are concerned or worried about having to go with CMI-5, etc. I as many folks constantly referred to xAPI as Tin Can, but recently say in the past month, I found out that Tin Can was a trademarked name by Rustici Software. 9 Video Courses and Video Functionality.

For folks who think I ignore the big dog vendors, sorry to disappoint, but Saba, SumTotal Learn and Cornerstone Learning Suite are in the Top 50. Welcome back – Saba and Absorb LMS. Weak areas are classroom management (nearly non-existent), deep learning (on roadmap), video management as a whole is mixed. . #20

Great to see Saba attend the event. Welcome back, Saba, we missed you – okay, some people missed you, okay a few.okay.a There was one video learning platform vendor that I can recall, but the two who are mentioning “enterprise for business” in their respected marketing were not – i.e. MediaCore and Panopto.
