Let us take a trip back to the late 90s and 2000. Think of today, and Articulate Storyline fan base. Now, go back to the late 90s into the early 2000’s, with instructional designers developing WBT courses (Web-Based Training) and e-learning developers. I went with a Hybrid form of ADDIE. Articulate denied this.

In 2000, I built my own LMS for a company, and was hired to create an e-learning program for customer training, as well as run a training division with ILT still in play (blended). Everyone I knew, followed the ADDIE approach. Articulate and Adobe definitely did damage to the market, again, with their original RCAT. Blackboard.

How many of you, are familiar with terms such as ADDIE? I self taught myself Instructional Design back in 2000. Too many people say to themselves we need to find someone who is an expert in Articulate Storyline because this is what we use. Ask them if they know what ADDIE stands for? Ever heard of a flower?
