The premise that an LXP, for example, does so much more than an LMS is 100% untrue. The vast majority of LXPs today are within a learning platform, or an LMS or as an add-on option to either of those offerings. Docebo, an LMS, scores around 62%. Thrive, a former legit LXP, is now an LMS. Yet here we are. Both are LMSs.

Look today, at the number of folks who still hang onto ILT. On top of all that, the LXP vendors (as a whole) pushed a false pretense that the LXP was vastly different than say an LMS. One of my favorite early vendors was GeoLearning. It was a full and robust system, and yes, an LMS. Was it though really so different?
