Agenda - Meeting agendas are a good common editing needs Company Directory / People Pages - Another easy place to start. Privacy / Confidentiality - Limit the visibility. So, yes, you have to set up policies and alert people just like you do around any form of electronic communication (email, IM). Not sure what else was implied.
