It was clear that not even LXP vendors (as a whole) knew – which explained why they targeted L&D, ignoring the other monster in the room, training. On top of all that, the LXP vendors (as a whole) pushed a false pretense that the LXP was vastly different than say an LMS. One of my favorite early vendors was GeoLearning.

Fears of the Course Authoring Tool Market

Long has tools such as Studio and Captivate been on the higher side, the same can be said for vendors such as Rapid Intake and dominKnow. Because other vendors are getting into the act as well. I must have missed something because I could have sworn that we are in a slow growing economy and previously a global recession.

LMS is not dead (again)

Yes, the posts on the Net continue to tell me that the LMS and thus its market is dead, which is ironic when you consider that more companies are coming into the space than leaving and that the learning system space now exceeds 1,300 on the global scale, and that most of them, the overwhelmingly large chunk, are LMSs. Yep, in 2000.
