I havent signed up anywhere, I havent taken part in any of the sessions, but Im like a moth drawn to the flame: as I peer in on all the conversation beginning to happen, I cant help but join in. Im still a really hands-on person. Or maybe Im just too lazy and poor. Now, Im not linking to John just because he is full of praise of me (which is nice and somewhat embarrassing, I must admit.), My truthful answer is that Ive heard of some of these theories and theoreticians. Im with you, Maria!

Thursday, April 26, 2007 Memoirs of an "Instructional Designer" I dont have a masters degree in instructional design or education. I have never taken a course in adult learning theory. My current business card says Im a "Manager of Instructional Design". And now Im here -- "Manager of Instructional Design."

Adult learning theory? but the stronger the mix in theory knowledge, application and mediums. Im with you all. Along with a handful of other titles, some less glorified than others. :) I say its all about vision, creativity, passion for the learner experience, a good design sense, solid writing skills.

How much of the pedagogy used by IDs is less to do with learning and more to do with design? And by asking this, Im not suggesting that design isnt important, for it is - its seen by some as part of the pedagogy. Karl, Of course Im trying to bait you!
