Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. Open Source Product of the Year (i.e. You get the Flash code – YES – you get the code, which you can do whatever you want with it. 264 codec, which the iPad supports, and a few browsers for HTML5.

A calling to a large number of vendors (small, medium and big), are all reporting strong numbers in January, with many saying that January 2011, was their best month – numbers and business wise, in the last few years. Vendors are adding more “comments&# and voting i.e. yes or no or thumbs up/thumbs down features.

Open Source Systems – That have to be 100% free to be considered. Open Source LMS of the Year. The product is Flash based, which is nice, but lack of mobile optimization for the iPad. My runner-up is Operitel’s LearnFlex LSP. These standout to me. Categories. Anyway, on with the other awards.
