For the current ADL webinar series on mobile, I gave a presentation on contextualizing mobile in the larger picture of L&D (a natural extension of my most recent books). So, I’ve argued that we should be looking at models for guiding our behavior. And a question came up about whether I thought wearables constituted mobile.

Traditional vendors are largely adopting at the SCORM parity level and using Tin Can as a better way to track formal training programs. I think we mostly know how to track informal learning with Tin Can now, but there is still a long way to go in making useful information out of all that data. Tracking should be opt-in when possible.
