Our workflow has been to build a content outline in Word, this is typically shared as a PDF. Our workflow has been to build a rough draft in PowerPoint, this is typically shared as a PDF of the slides. Following the recording session, segments of audio are exported from Audition as WAV files with the slide number in the filename.

When Adobe included a text to speech application in Captivate 4, I began to think that TTS might be a viable option in certain situations. The Professional version is most relevant to online learning as it converts files to wav/.mp3 mp3 formats and comes with two or four voices. There’s a free version and a paid upgrade.

There are two ways to do this: directly upload an audio file (mp3, wav, etc.), The “Add Presentation/Document” page lets you upload and embed all major business file formats in your course. You can add PowerPoint (ppt, pptx), MS Word (doc, docx), Excel (xls, xlsx), and Adobe PDF (pdf) files.
