Especially for us fans of HTML5 who knew in our hearts of hearts that it was a superior product to Flash. 9th, that it is abandoning its work on Flash for mobile devices and instead focusing on mobile development of development of HTML5 for mobile. I know if I was a RCAT vendor I would. Awesome Example of HTML5.

Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? Mobile Learning. Let’s see – what is the fastest e-learning subset ever to garner audience interest for all solutions? Yet, today it is gaining fast adoption across all e-learning lines. They output only to HTML5.

But, the reason I constantly bash this into e-learning vendors heads is this just DON’T GET IT. Fastest growing segments – tablets & e-readers. Fastest growing markets for early adopters: tablets & PGPs. Oh, yeah, social learning. E-Learning 24/7. Yes, I own one.

Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Flash output – still red hot. Will it attain mass adoption – I doubt it. Flash isn’t going anywhere, except maybe the route of leaded gasoline. HTML5 is the new “Green” Get it now.

Another small trend is providing advanced admin capabilities in the form of admins who have CSS, Flash,PHP or other languages. The use of geolocation – available in HTML5. Mobile Learning.
