As Michael Allen says in Michael Allens Guide to e-Learning : "Learners think, Im supposed to do my best to learn whatever is here, so I might as well spend all my time learning it rather than reading about learning it." (p. Have you experimented with alternatives to listing out learning objectives? I see the value.

That said, Im a little concerned that the gamer mentality is sometimes presented as important to corporate culture and that as a result women should get into gaming. Im a bit of an über a-hole when it comes to stereotypical representations - the giggly "girl" (which is the name of this episode) just lights my match. Which is correct?

Im a linear reader in recovery and have been actively learning how to skim books and not feel guilty about it. Im not sure if the SME was reading a script, reading the notes, or just speaking from the heart. In the context of Audio in eLearning and having the expert speak in the course, I'd like to mention our product Speech-Over (www.speechover.com) as a possible alternative to the other approaches. So thats one version.

Im not sure how this relates to danah boyds recent blog article on Viewing American class divisions through FaceBook and MySpace. Im a major geek, yet I avoid Second Life and continue to be skeptical about its use in elearning. I associate that style with video games and super-hero comics, which continue to be mostly "guy" things.
