Quiz assessment tools and systems, that assume everyone wants to do T/F and M/C or Short Answer and T/F only. Nobody, if they want to stay in business. not free, or not 100% open source) and I have to do 100% customization to land a client, I would worry about my cash on hand and debt load. It is all about the Hype.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Perhaps their audience is unaware of LMSs who offer assessment tools. Perhaps they are unaware of online authoring systems offering assessment features. Growing is what business is all about. Jump on the Bandwagon.

My current business card says Im a "Manager of Instructional Design". After a few years, I got involved in an IT initiative (then it was called MIS) -- designing a new software application to support our call center business. The degree opens many doors but thats about it. In fact, I dont have any kind of masters degree at all.

If a RCAT vendor tells you they have been in business for over 10 years, they are somewhat misleading, since WBT courses really didn’t start to hit the mark until 2000 and then you have limited choices on how to build. Macromedia Authorware and similar products. While some could argue that Authorware was a RCAT, I disagree.

Accepts any courses built in any content authoring tools that are SCORM & AICC compliant – so you can upload and sell your courses that you built in Articulate, Captivate, even open source authoring tools (but they must be standards compliant). It’s a business marketplace for buyers and sellers. Two tab options.
