These are activities where the direct and synchronous social contacts are more central.

What Tools Should We Learn?

Tools in this arena vary widely and if your company is interested in creating their own social site, my suggestion would be to crawl first. Start with a service like Yammer or Ning to control the audience. Fundamentally, eLearning is asynchronous most of the time, but at times there is need to conduct synchronous training.
