Me: Im an instructional designer. Im sort of distracted by the naked boy who just ran by (not mine). If I see they still have that blank look in their eyes, I quickly mention the names of some of my clients and that usually gets there attention enough to explain further. And then they think Im a flippin genius!!!!

Its like the opening credits of a movie. Belatedly, Im thinking that there are relatively easy ways to enable learners to have cake or to eat it as they see fit. Im not sure I suggested writing WIIFM learning objectives, but they probably have their uses. These are the ones we present to learners to help guide learner attention.

. :) I say its all about vision, creativity, passion for the learner experience, a good design sense, solid writing skills. This industry is too caught up in abstract thinking and not attentive enough to the actual products they are creating. Just because a film professor has a graduate degree doesnt mean he/she can make a great movie.
