In my experience, small businesses (500 or less users) are the ideal audience for a low cost system. This does not mean that anyone who has more than 5,000 users should be a system in the low cost mode, but rather these systems are definitely suited to this business size. Are there low cost systems for the education market?

Virtually any vendor will do heavy customization for you – but there are additional costs to it. When you think about it, what is the cost of losing a customer and bad PR? . Vendors who fall under these two categories: Storage limits – most Lite systems. They do not have servers with load balance.

Video in e-learning means something quite different than video in its usual term. Screen recording and capture with audio narration. Video itself - streamed, recorded, edited then posted, posted without editing, etc. – may/may not include audio incl. – may/may not include audio incl. background.

What is taking place in the space are the number of “freebies” that have arrived – not just for audio conferencing only, but also with web conferencing too. The argument of course is that “support and service” costs money. Especially when some vendors use Rackspace or other server farms.

event management, e-commerce (if available), audio conferencing and how it works with web conferencing vendors, who is in the tablet space, and my personal picks. Many vendors will give you a discount for doing this, or toss in an extra month. Web Conferencing or Audio Conferencing? Rule of thumb. Why buy one?
