This project is on the low end of a Level 2 by Chapman’s study, so the ratio for development is 127:1 (that is, 1 hour of e-learning takes 127 hours to develop). Storyboarding: 11%. Audio Production: 6%. Storyboarding is 11% or about 42 hours. That’s not including writing a script or recording audio.

Even though social media platforms and YouTube both support video content, each platform feature uses different aspect ratios so you should edit repurposed videos to meet the individual platform requirements. Do they have speakers or headphones so they can hear the audio? Both sizes have an aspect ratio (the ratio of the width to the height of an image or screen) of 16:9. It also provides viewers who don’t have a way to listen to the audio a means to still get the information in the video.

Screencasting can be a little bit daunting when faced with all the "techie" jargon like aspect ratios, codecs and frame rates. Storyboard your screencast and sketch out the journey before you begin. I like to use something like Fences from Stardock on the PC or Ryan Eash, an Instructional Designer from TechSmith's Training Department, has two monitors. Get Feedback - Run your script or storyboards by others before you record. You can play your audio while you record the screen. Conan Heiselt.

You get to select the screen size (or area) you want to record and if you record audio. But, if you use an aspect ratio tool (that’s our favorite) then it’s pretty easy to find that right balance. The aspect ratio tool gave me the magic missing dimension which is 768 pixels.
