My question to vendors who pitch browser agnostic is simple: did you test and verify that your LMS (if you stated it as a mobile LMS) will work with these two specific browsers? Hopefully, every vendor will return back 100%. You do not.

Because if you are using a content authoring tool that is SCORM 2004, then you must find a system that is at least 2004. Your tool will not work with a 1.2. Unless you purchased a tool that is only AICC compliant, which in that case, time to ditch it and get another one. What reports are tied to it? By job role?

A surprisingly number of vendors who offer some form of social learning, whether it is the minimum – a FB like page, micro-blog, even some form of app sharing or collaborative tool, do not have any social media on their site. Synch with accounting software ala Quicken, etc. Consumers made the same request regarding content authoring tools several months back, and at last count, I only saw three authoring tool vendors offering this feature. Too me, that is not truly mobile learning. Other – 14.2%. – 5.7%.

What about a payment gateway – does the LMS vendor assist you with this or do you have to find your own? Do they have any reports dedicated for the e-commerce functionality?
