The trends apply to both LMS/LCMS vendors. Extended Enterprise - Vendors are expanding into the wholesaler/reseller/affiliates/sales agent sector with their solutions. The note of interest is that it is occurring with all size of vendors, albeit the charge is being led by mid size vendors. Equally smart.

This is Plateau’s social learning component, and it reminds me of a cross between a COP (Community of Practice) with some social learning functionality. E-Learning 24/7. Talent Gateway. Another add-on module. Not required as part of the system. Why people still think a COP is of value is beyond me.

Assign x users to one group, assign “y” to another group – with each group having different courses, learning content, etc. Other standard favorites included some type of “event management” albeit the term wasn’t necessarily used. It is like “har har” Event Management.
