If your goal is just to post the course on a server and let people access it, just for the sake of learning and you don’t care about tracking of any sort – then no, you do not need any compliance standard. Why isn’t there a required standard for e-learning? No, just kidding.

Others: Secure – always has existed since SaaS has been available online – which is more than 13 years. RFPs and Features. Regulatory agencies integration (only a few systems offer this).

Now some vendors are saying an LMS is Legacy, again, totally not true, but the term means “old school and dated” Many LMSs are NexGen in fact, it comes to how the client wants to use the system, and the system themselves. If a vendor is 15 yrs old, it doesn’t mean their system is that old, and never updated it.
