They will counter by saying our customers do not want an LMS, but hey, we are adding features like an LMS, because our audience is asking for it (those folks from L&D who are using their LMS for only regulatory/compliance and/or assigned learning). LMSs were built for the latter, not for someone to use it as compliance only.

Course standards include xAPI and PENS, besides the standards of SCORM. . Course categories include business skills, compliance, certifications, industry-specific. I’d go with the video suite because it includes audio capabilities too. iSpring Suite. Publish directly to an LMS and LRS if you so choose.

Compliance and Regulatory – Total LMS domination. If you are seeking PENS, LMS. xAPI – It’s LMS, but it is razor close. Training is not a strong suite by any stretch. Gamification – LMS leads. Not even close. Competencies – LMS leads. I have yet to see robust on this. That said, it is a tie.

A robust system that contains everything from a perfect score in my learning environment functionaliy to administration (also a perfect score) to content curation, video management (with auto detection FPS) to the ability to accept course standards including xAPI and PENS. Course standard support is only xAPI (thus no SCORM, etc.).
