In my experience, small businesses (500 or less users) are the ideal audience for a low cost system. This does not mean that anyone who has more than 5,000 users should be a system in the low cost mode, but rather these systems are definitely suited to this business size. Are there low cost systems for the education market?

All they care about is whether the system is in “the cloud” SaaS or “in the cloud” to the consumer means that is it hosted on your servers or wherever you host your LMS and they can access it via the internet regardless of where they are located as long as they have an internet connection. Web sites yes.

Web based training (WBT which was the term to define web based courses) – E-Learning. . Web conferencing – well it if is for a webinar – it is under e-learning. This is because they are the two biggest items in the e-learning space (no offense to assessment tools, other e-learning tools, etc.).

If your goal is just to post the course on a server and let people access it, just for the sake of learning and you don’t care about tracking of any sort – then no, you do not need any compliance standard.
