When you look back at 2000-2002, companies getting VC funding were folks like Outstart, Hyperwave, Infocast, Element K, Pathlore, Vuepoint, Knowledge Impact. The bottom of established markets get eaten by lower-cost, e.g., open source players. Some of that is still happening with folks like Cornerstone getting $32M.

SCORM: What you should be asking your LMS Vendor to be

. : ) as in walk away… Why is it important to find out if they have any or have they ever uploaded off the shelf 3rd party SCORM courses from another vendor (regardless of netg, skillsoft, elementK, whomever), because there may come a time, where you want a management or leadership course or a MS Word course and you do not want to build it.

I buy the content provider library, then add it to all my customers, either as a fixed cost as part of the LMS, so you get X with X or X with Y (all of content, etc.)

Yep, an app. But wait, it is only tells me about the latest news from them, which is great to know, since when I think LMSs – I think news! Yep, an app. Yes, they have an app. The way to solve this issue for m-learning tools, systems, etc., They prefer it.
