While there are a couple of vendors out there who have incorporated e-mail that can go to outside to people, rather than just within the learning management product, the overall space isn’t doing it. But, the reason I constantly bash this into e-learning vendors heads is this just DON’T GET IT. When everyone was PC only, a vendor thought to themselves. When vendors saw the possibility of integrating web conferencing when it never had been done before, what happened? Tie it into their servers.

Most folks just toss that stuff in the trash, and when you think about it; isn’t it about time we focused more on saving paper i.e. the trees, then spending time tossing slick ad docs into a bag? The biggest knock on the show in previous years was that it was getting smaller with less vendors. Hey, where can I find a CBT course?

This year, I estimated a 55/60% e-learning, including some ILT vendors offering some type of e-learning component. . In all the years I have attended and have known about ATD (formally ASTD), this year is by far the most in terms of e-learning vendors, especially those in the LMS space.
